God will restore the years stolen

"and i will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten" (Joel 2:25)

We serve a god of restoration you may have had some disappointments or unfair, or negative things happen in your life, but instead of dwelling on the past or the negative things, focus on God promises because God wants to restore everything that's been stolen from you life. He wants to restore your joy, your peace, your health, your relationships, your finances. But here's the key" you have to have a VISION for it. you have to get your hopes up and decide to get your thoughts and words going in the right direction. Today choose to focus on the future and release past hurts through forgiveness, draw a line in the sand and say "i am a child of the most high god, and I'm not going to live my life negative and defeated. This is a new day my brothers and sisters in Christ, and god has many blessings for you believe and have FAITH..

Change is necessary

Proverbs 27 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Let me ask you, are your friends making you stronger? Are they challenging you to become a better parent, a better spouse, a better giver, a better leader, a better person? You, too, may have to make some changes in order to be all that God has called you to be. You may have to change where you do business, where you workout, or where you shop. You may have to change who you eat lunch with every day at the office. Life is too short, and your time is too valuable. Learn to say goodbye to toxic relationships and invest your energy where it counts—on your family, on your marriage, on being all that God has called you to be!

change is necessary for growth, spiritually and physically. Sometimes you must leg go of the old to be blessed with the new. Holding on to toxic relationships will drain you.

God wants to amaze you....

The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house," says the LORD Almighty. "And in this place I will grant peace…" (Haggai 2:9, NIV).

God wants to amaze you with His goodness! We are living in a day where God is increasing His favor. Maybe you have seen God's goodness to a certain degree. In reality, you haven't seen anything yet! God has favor in your future that will supersede anything that you've seen in the past.
The Scripture talks about how the glory of the latter day will be greater than the glory of the former day. That means what God did for your parents or grandparents, He's going to surpass in your generation. The blessing and favor of past generations was good, but we serve a God of increase! He has greater things in store for your future! Imagine, receiving blessings from the Almighty God. It will not just be one it will be numerous blessings...
Today, I encourage you to get your hopes up. I encourage you to enlarge your vision. Be expecting God to bring opportunities across your path. Be expecting to meet the right people and get the right breaks. Prepare your heart and mind to receive the increase and blessing God has in store for you!

Be the best butterfly you can be........

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10, NIV) Are you comfortable in your own skin? In other words, do you recognize yourself as the treasure God made you; or are you constantly looking for approval and comparing yourself to a neighbor, co-worker or friend? Do you try to out-dress them or out-perform them? Are you always looking for ways to one-up them?Friend, it’s time to let all of that go. Comparison is a distraction. Comparison is a thief. It steals your time, energy, focus and joy. You aren’t here to impress anybody; you don’t have to prove anything because you are God’s special workmanship. He created you with a purpose for a purpose. You are empowered and equipped to do everything He’s called you to do.If you will choose to stay free from a spirit of competition and just run your own race, not only will you enjoy your life more, but you’ll see your gifts and talents come out to the full. You’ll see His blessing and favor in a greater way, and you’ll move forward into the life of victory He has in store!
Today, no matter what you may be facing, no matter what disappointment you may be struggling with, know that God is still there. He does not condemn you, but He is reaching out His hand of strength and restoration. His love goes way beyond our doubts. Can you open your heart and receive that love today? Why don't you let Him restore your faith and hope? Let Him restore your peace. Let Him refresh the dry and broken place and pour out His abundant blessing on every area of your life.

God works in your favor

Life can be full of ups and downs twist and turns. We've all had to face many challenges, difficulties, and obstacles. But did you know that everything you've been through up until this very moment - is getting you prepared for what God is going to do in your life/future. Every disappointment, setbacks, and every person that did you wrong, or every lonely night you have endured, God is going to turn around and use for your GOOD !!!

During difficult times, we grow and mature. That's when our FAITH is stretched and our character is developed. God didn't send that hardship but he'll use it to get you prepared for your next step. Those adversities will help make you and mold you into the person you are called to be.

You may be experiencing tough times today but remember nothing is ever wasted. Have the attitude that says "this is a new day things are shifting in my favor this difficulty is NOT going to stop me its going to promote me it was meant to bring me down BUT i know that GOD is going to use it to lift me up and lead me into blessings all the days of my life"

(Romans 8:28 we know that in all things god works for the good of those who love him)

Healthy self image......

Sometimes all it takes is the persistent of one rose to make a rose bush look beautiful. the same i belive go's for us it takes our own self worth and self image to make us stand out from the rest. some of my own personal reflections on what i believe to be the key to a healthy self image.

1. Know god creat you and he loves you

2. You have faults and weaknesses, and you want to change, beleive that god is working in your life, he is changing you bit by bit

3. Everyone has faults so you are not a complete failute just because you are not perfect

4. dont be controlled by wht people think say or do. Even ifthey totally reject you , you will sruvive God has promised never to reject you or condemn you as long as you keep belieiving

5.God has a good plan for your life, you will fulfill your destiny and be all you can be you have god given talents and you should use them to help others

6. you can do all things you need to do through jesus and god

7. like yourself. if you want to change then change but dont reject yourself.

Enjoy all tthings.

Romans 14 is an excellent chapter in the Bible to bring liberty in this area. Verses 5 and 6 say: One man esteems one day as better than another [holier], while another man esteems all days alike [holy]. Let everyone be fully convinced (satisfied) in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. He also who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God;
while he who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. My personal translation of Romans 14:5,6 is that one man sees prayer and Bible study as better (holier) than ordinary tasks, while a person who’s really free in the Lord sees them all alike (all holy), because whatever he does, he does in honor of the Lord. This is true liberty—to be able to live an undivided life where we categorize some things as common and some as holy. As a result, we never enjoy the common things because we’re desperately trying to either avoid them completely or at least rush through them so we can get to those things that are holy.

Be the best you can be

let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…" (Hebrews 12:1-2, NKJ).

weatehr it's having a singing talent, playing an instrument or grabbing bugs. be the best you can be.

It's easy to be tempted to go through life competing with everyone around us. When we see someone who's more talented, better looking or has more gifts, instead of running our race and being comfortable with who we are, oftentimes we feel inferior and think, "I've got to catch up to them." The problem with this unhealthy competition is that it's a never-ending cycle. There will always be someone ahead of us. But, it's a very freeing thing when you realize, "I'm not competing with you. I don't have to have as big a house as my neighbor to feel good about myself. I don't have to keep up with my co-worker. I don't have to be a certain size. No, I understand that I'm not in competition with my friend, my neighbor or my co-worker. Instead, I'm going to be the best me that I can possibly be." Friend, that's an attitude God can work with. When you focus on being who God made you to be, that's when you'll rise up higher and position yourself for every spiritual blessing He has in store for you!

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

Be yourself.

your life would go to a whole new level if you would just quit competing with everyone around you. It takes a lot of physical and emotional energy to try to impress people all day long. But it's very freeing to say, "I don't have to impress anybody today. I have nothing to prove. I'm secure in who I am. And I am not going to feel bad if you look better, make more money, or get more recognition. I don't have to keep up with you; I'm going to run my own race."
Get free from comparison today so that you can move forward into the destiny God has in store for you!
…Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1, NKJV).

Bird waiting and expecting

"…Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it…"
(Psalm 81:10, NLT).
Do you have your mouth open wide today? In other words, are you expecting God to fill you and increase you beyond measure? Are ready for Him to satisfy your needs and desires with good things? Think about a baby bird. When they are ready to eat, they open their mouths wide. They trust that they will be fed. They expect it. They look for it. They are ready for it.
It should be the same way with us. We need to keep our spiritual mouths open by expecting the goodness of God to satisfy us. Negative thinking is like closing your mouth. A closed mouth can't be filled. But Jesus is saying today, why don't you take the limits off? Why don't you trust and believe for supernatural opportunities?
That little bird waiting for food isn't concerned about where the mother is going to get it from. It isn't concerned about how she's going to dig it up. No, that bird just opens its mouth, trusting and waiting. Why don't you do the same today? Trust that God is working behind the scenes. Open your mouth wide today. You won't be disappointed. God is faithful to His Word, and He will fill you and satisfy you when you put your trust in Him!

Look within......

OUR LIVES IMPROVE ONLY WHEN WE TAKE CHANCES, AND THE FIRST AND MOST DIFFICULT RISK WE CAN TAKE IS TO BE HONEST WITH OURSELVES.
"WALTER ANDERSON"

Let God's hand guide you

Friend, sometimes in life when things are not working, we're doing our best but it doesn't look like anything is happening. We've trained. We've sacrificed. We've prayed. We've believed. But it just doesn't look like it's worth it. But, if you will look up through your eyes of faith, you will see your Heavenly Father with a big smile, nodding His head, saying, "Yes, it's worth it. Keep going. You're doing good. I'm in control. I'm a faithful God." When those thoughts come telling you to quit, don't dwell on them. Learn to look back up and see your Heavenly Father smiling down on you. Let His confidence give you strength even in the midst of confusion. He can see the big picture and He won't ever let you down. He is leading and guiding you in the abundant life He has for you!

…If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31).

A little faith

There is no such thing as a lack of faith. we all have plenty of faith, it's just that we have Faith in the wrong things. we have faith in what can't be done rather than what can be done. We have faith in lack rather abundance but there is no lack of faith. Faith is law "Eric Butterworth"
progress always involves risks. you can't steal second base without taking your foot off first. "Frederick B. Wilcox"
When your mind is full of indecision, try thinking with your heart. "Beth Mende Conny"
Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and when it comes, hold your head high, look it squarely in the eye and say " i will be bigger than you, you cannot defeat me" " AnnLanders"

God's Way

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God"(Ephesians 5:1-2, NIV).

Have you ever spent time with a small child or baby and had them mimic your every sound or action? To them it's a fun game, but internally they are learning by watching and copying everything you do. They just watch and do the same thing. That's because we are all prewired to be imitators.
Just like little children, we are all still imitators. So many people today end up imitating what they see in the world, on TV, in the news and magazines. But scripture tells us that we are to be imitators of God and follow His example of love.
If you need to change your actions today, change what you are imitating. All you have to do is simply change your focus. The more you focus on the Word, the more you will imitate God. And when you do things God's way, you will get God's results—peace, joy and blessing all the days of your life!

sometimes you have to let life turn you upside down so you can learn to live right side up..............

God of justice

When you go through a loss, when somebody does you wrong when it feels like you've taken steps backwards, don't sit around and sulk don't take matters into your own hands. don't live life defeated remember god is your vindicator, he promises to make the wrongs right. Do your part and stay in faith keep an attitude of expectancy as you do he will fight your battles. No matter what is going on in you life whether you've experienced loss of feel overwhelmed or alone God knows where you are and he knows how to reach you. God hates when his people are hurt by someone. god will give you justice
Psalm 135:143 the lord will vindicated his people.

GIVE GOD TIME

while we are waiting for our blessings to come forth, we may grow frustrated or impatient, its like sitting in the waiting room of the doctors office, its never easy. God has said he has planted a seed in us -and then we have to enter a time of preparation before that seed can bear fruit. God does not push shove demand manipulate force people he leads, guides prompts and suggests. our wait is easier to endure when we believe gods timing is perfect, god is in fact preparing that mate, preparing that right job, developing your relationship, strengthening your finances, but the the one praying which is you or me gets tired of waiting since he or she doesn't know what is happening behind the scenes, god good plan does take time and often more time than we anticipated seeing the fulfillment of it requires a willingness to wait for the blessing in due season

there is a right time for all things in our lives and there is safety in being in gods perfect timing, what god has for you no person on earth can take it from you ... believe and have an attitude of faith that your blessings coming, give it time let god work behind the scenes.

Who decides your worth?

If you’re going to overcome insecurities and be the person God’s called you to be, you must have the courage to be different. Unhappiness and frustration happen when we reject our uniqueness and try to be like each other. If you’re going to be successful at being completely you, then you’re going to have to take a chance on not being like everyone else. You must ask yourself, Am I a people pleaser or a God pleaser?Becoming a people pleaser is one of the easiest things we can do...but it can ultimately make us very unhappy. When we begin pleasing others, we begin to hear comments that make us feel good about ourselves. That’s okay as long as we don't derive our sense of worth from it. People are too fickle for us to place our sense of worth in their opinions. We’re worth something because God says we're worth something—not because of what people think or say about us.

People pleasers allow others to control their lives in order to gain acceptance and approval. But God doesn't want us to be easily manipulated or controlled by others. We shouldn't let other people's opinions of us control our actions
.

Brake out of the Mold

The world (those we know and deal with on a daily basis who may be family, friends, people in the neighborhood or even in the church) is continually trying to conform us to its image. The word conform means "to be similar in form or character; to behave in accordance with prevailing modes or customs.” Romans 12:2 says, Do not be conformed to this world (this age),…but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind…It’s then that we find the good and acceptable will of God for our lives. People will always try to fit us into their mold, partly due to their own insecurity. It makes them feel better about what they are doing if they can get someone else to do it too. Very few people have the ability to be who they are and let everybody else be who they are. Can you imagine how nice the world would be if we would all do that? Each person would be secure in who he is and let others be who they are. We would not have to try to be imitations of each other.

How to pass the Test and Trials of Life.

everytime god/life give you challenges, think of it as a test. (Jer. 11:20) states thatGod tests our hearts, emotions and thinking powers. Well you may think thats not nice!!! But we can tell how far we still have to go by how we react in times of struggles and test. Attitudes of the heart that we did not know we had often come out through test and trials. Embrace your struggles, and tests as oppurtunites for GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT .

So many things come our way every day that are just nothing more than test. For example sometimes when we haveto wait in line, or stuck in traffic, or when your boss tells you to do something we do not want to do , all those daily conveniences are tests. God will bless you when he sees that you have a good attitude, that you do not get easily upset or loose your joy. God wants to bless you and promote you but we must do out part and have a good attitude and stay in FAITH

True Story of Faith!!!

my name will be kept anonymous,

but i would like to share a true story with you. after many years of trying to do things on my own, i realized that there has to be a better way. I have suffered rejection, verbal abuse, loneliness and sadness. I have felt depressed beyond measure. I felt that i was in a dark whole with out an escape. But one day i could not take it anymore i was pacing back and forth in my room crying. i lifted my head up and asked why, why all this suffering, how do i move forward. my heart started to stir up, and i felt that my heart was being squeezed with love and peace. I felt a voice tell me. "when you are tempted to get down when thing aren't going your just remember I'm am here for you, I your faithful god will not leave your side.", Friends as you trust god and stand in faith as you boldly declare his promises you are positioning yourself to receive his blessings. No matter what your circumstances look like, remember payday is on its way-and you will experience the blessing and reward God has promised.

To make a long story short, I was able to leave my abusive relationship, I found shelter and support with friends who helped me get my GED and then my college degree. Today I'm happy and walking by Faith not by sight in Jesus name AMEN.!!

Footprints in the sand...

Last night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonged to me, the other to the Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. “Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You’d walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.” The Lord replied, “My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of suffering, when you could see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”

HAPPINESS IS AS A BUTTERFLY WHICH, WHEN PURSUED, IS ALWAYS BEYOND OUR GRASP, BUT IF YOU WILL SIT DOWN QUIETLY, MAY ALIGHT UPON YOU. "NATHANIEL HAWTHORNE"

So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit” (Galatians 6:9, The Message).Today’s Word:Everyone has God-given dreams and desires. We all have goals we want to accomplish and situations we are believing will be turned around. Sometimes it seems to take longer than we originally thought. Sometimes, things don’t work out the way we planned, and it’s easy to lose enthusiasm. If we’re not careful, we’ll get discouraged and end up just settling where we are. But God doesn’t want us to settle, He wants to take us higher. But many times, people miss out on God’s best simply because they give up too soon. They don’t realize how close they are to their victory. Friend, don’t let that be you today. Don’t give up just because things seem hard. You’ve invested so much, and you never know, just a few more days of believing, another few weeks of doing the right thing, another few months of staying in faith, and you could see that situation turn around. Remember, God is on your side! Keep standing and keep believing because you are closer than you think to fulfilling every desire He’s placed inside of you!
I love the declaration in Psalm 20:7 that says, "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God!" maybe you're not literally trusting in chariots and horses today. Today, people still look to power, wealth and resources as their source of strength.
Are you trusting in natural resources today? Natural resources can be your job, a medical report, or anything in this world that you might depend on or draw strength from. Do you depend on the morning news to set the tone of your day? Remember, these things are all temporary. And yes, they do affect our daily lives, but we have to keep them in proper perspective. When you put your hope and trust in temporary things, your security and confidence is going to be temporary. Instead, put your trust in the name of the Lord! Declare, "No matter what is happening around me, God is bigger than my circumstances. He's more powerful than anything in the world. He is the source of my joy and strength; and I will put my trust in Him!" When you trust in the Lord, you'll be empowered by His strength. Your confidence level will soar because you have a foundation that cannot be moved and will never fade away. You have hope and trust that is secure for all eternity!

We must be faithful , we must learn how to be faith in the wilderness, faithful in the hard times we must be faithful to keep on doing what is right even when everything around us is wrong. being faithful is being devoted supportive and loyal, faithful people are worthy of trust or belief they are reliable consistent, they will stay and be true even in the midst of negativity and obstacles. (1Timothy)

No matter how dark it looks no matter how long its been no matter how many people are trying to push us down if we stay in faith god will take us to our blessing he will complete what he started
God has set up seasons in our lives. There are plowing seasons. There are planting seasons. There are watering seasons. Sure, we would love for every season to be a time of increase left and right and good breaks here and there. But without the other seasons, we wouldn’t be prepared. For example, it’s during the plowing season that God brings issues to light that we need to deal with. He’s getting us prepared for promotion. If you’re not making as much progress as you would like, the key is to not lose any ground. Don’t go backwards. Hold your position. Keep a good attitude and do the right thing even when it’s hard. When you do that, you are passing the test, and God promises that your due season of harvest is coming. Be encouraged because your appointed time of increase, favor and promotion is on its way. He’s preparing you for the harvest—to see every dream and every desire filled in Jesus’ name!
So many times i have said to the Lord "father whats my purpose", if you will tell me i would do it. you must wait patiently to hear from god, he will and does answer. what he told me was to "BELIEVE". you and i think we are supposed to have all the answers, but the way we first get the answers is to believe. believe that god has the answer, that god is working behind the scene, aligning things and people to go out of their way to help you or bless you. as believers we should not be worried or full of anxiety, we should be at peace, we should embrace serenity. In the midst of a storm we should be standing peacefully because GOD is with you with us he is has everything under control and he will make everything work for your own good. PEACE and FAITH is all god wants us to do.
People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself but the SELF is not something one finds it is something one CREATS. (Thomas Szasz 1973)
take this beautiful flower, im sure it must of endure many changes before it final result, and what a sight. God has a good plan for your life and HE never changes his mind about. trust and walk by faith not by sight.
Some of us do not believe for enough we need to stretch our faith into new realms. We need to be people with uncommon goals because we are full of power by the Spirit of the Lord. (Micah 7:7 teaches us how to wait. whether we are sitting in traffic, watching a beautiful sunset or waiting for an appointment or in line at the grocery store waiting is a part of everyday life for most of us. Is it hard for you to wait? when you wait on GOD you can wait with hopeful expectation the he hears your every prayer and is working for your good.
WALK BY FAITH TODAY!!
